What a Shopee discount has to beat
On 25 Aug 2026 — fifteen days before the sale — we froze what 750 Shopee Singapore listings normally cost, and we have recorded them daily since; 44 are no longer in the feed. So when a banner says "50% off", we can say what it is 50% off of.
What holds every day
Prices here swing about 11% with no sale attached.
We caught the whole catalogue repricing 11 times in 75 days of our own records. A single day's price — including a sale day's — tells you very little on its own.
And per item
We publish the price 612 of them have to beat.
The lowest price we have actually recorded, per listing, in the tables below. That number does not move with the feed's mood, and it is what a genuine record low has to clear. The other 138 get none, for the reasons under "Read this first".
The headline, 16 Oct 2026
124 of 612 (20%) cost more today than their normal price.
We are not claiming any seller raised a price in order to discount it — we cannot see intent, only prices. What we can say is that for these 124 listings, a 9.9 price that merely returns them to their ordinary level would cost you exactly what they cost in August.
Read that number with its range. Across our whole window it has run between 1% and 52% — it was 52% a few days ago and moved with no sale in between. Shopee's feed alternates between two whole-catalogue price lists, and this figure largely reports which one is live today. The durable findings are the two below, and they are what to rely on.

At their recorded low
Read this first
- "Normal price" is the price a listing sat at most often across our whole window, never the highest we saw. Taking the maximum would manufacture a discount.
- Shopee's feed alternates between two whole-catalogue price states. We measured it on these same 750 items across 75 consecutive days, in which the catalogue flipped 11 times. On the dear stretches between 206 and 331 of them sat above normal; on the cheap stretches 7 to 201 did. It last flipped down on 2 Oct 2026. That is the single biggest reason a one-day price means little.
- The number to beat is the lowest price we have actually recorded, not the normal price. If a 9.9 price does not beat it, it is not a record low whatever the banner says.
- Listings with fewer than 6 readings carry no number to beat, and 44 in this set are not in today's feed at all, so they have no price today. Both are shown as such rather than guessed.
- 96 listings get no verdict and no number to beat: the seller prices the listing's variants differently, and the feed gives one price per listing without saying which variant it belongs to, so two of its prices could belong to two different products.
- This is about price only. We have not used or tested any of these products, and nothing here says whether one is worth owning.

Before you believe a discount: Shopee prices here swing about 11% with no sale attached — we caught the whole catalogue repricing 11 times in 75 days. We froze the normal price of 750 listings on 25 Aug 2026, before the sale, and for 612 of them publish the price a discount has to beat to be a genuine record low. (On any given day 1–52% of them cost MORE than normal; today it is 20%.) https://sgdealshub.com/99/what-to-buy/
Priced above their usual level today — worth waiting on
These cost more today than the price they normally hold. A 9.9 banner that returns them to their ordinary price leaves you no better off than usual. The number in the last column is what a record low would have to beat.

Never moved once — a real cut here would be the first we have seen
We have recorded these every day and the price has not changed, not once. There is no crossed-out history to hide behind: if one of these is genuinely cheaper on 9.9, it is the first time we have observed it.

Already at the cheapest we have recorded — waiting gains nothing
These are already sitting at or below the lowest price in our own files. A sale can still beat that, but it is starting from a floor rather than from a marked-up number.

We have assessed these on these 9.9 shelves
This page is about price and says nothing about whether a product is worth owning. These we checked in full — comparable listings, variant, stock and all — and wrote down what the verdict rests on.
