About SGDealsHub

SGDealsHub is a small, independent site that looks at Shopee Singapore listings and says plainly whether a price is actually good. It is run from Singapore by one person, with software doing the repetitive parts: recording prices every day, comparing like with like, and refusing to publish anything that cannot be substantiated.

The problem it exists for

A discount is a claim about two numbers: what a thing costs now, and what it cost before. On most marketplaces only the first is verifiable. The "was" price beside a sale sticker is chosen by the seller, and there is usually no way for a shopper to check whether anything was ever sold at it.

So this site keeps its own record. Every day it captures the price of roughly nine thousand Shopee Singapore listings from Shopee's own affiliate product feed and commits that day's file to a public repository, where it cannot be quietly revised. When a page here says a price fell, the evidence is a file with a date on it.

What a "deal" here means

Very few listings become deals. A candidate has to clear every one of these before anyone sees it, and most fail:

On a recent batch, twenty-four candidates cleared the automated checks and four survived the human one. That ratio is the point of the process, not a failure of it.

Rules that cost money, kept anyway

How it pays for itself

Some links here are Shopee affiliate links, which may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They are visually distinct, carry the appropriate link attributes, and every page that contains one discloses it on that page. The site may also show advertising. Neither affects what gets published or how it is ranked — see the commission rule above.

Mistakes

Prices move and errors happen. Every deal page carries a "Tell us" link that reports the problem directly. Corrections go through the same assessment gate as new deals, so the price history stays intact rather than being quietly overwritten. Where the site has got something wrong in the past, the correction is written down and kept.
