A dehumidifier's sticker price tells you little on its own, because a unit rated to pull 12 litres of water out of the air a day and one rated for 30 are not the same machine. This table puts dehumidifiers side by side, all priced on the same day and ordered by what a litre a day of extraction costs. The shelf is not evenly split, and we will not present it as if it were: EuropAce supplies much of it. It lists more dehumidifiers than these; we kept only its lower-priced models so one company does not fill the table, and its 40- and 60-litre models are among those left out, although both would rank near the top of this table per litre a day. The litres-a-day figure is the seller's own rating. Some titles state it as a daily rate outright; the others give a bare litre figure, which we read as the same daily rating. For EuropAce that reading is the seller's own: its range listing says its models dehumidify up to 60 litres per day, and its 30-litre EDH3300DWH lists a separate 4-litre tank. For the Mistral rows it rests on convention only: the listings do not say, though a water tank that size would be unusual. Small units whose titles give a litre figure but no daily rate, such as the iFan 1.1L and the Mistral 1.2L, are not in the table: on units this small that figure is most likely the tank, so there is nothing honest to divide by. Also left out: charcoal and gel moisture absorbers, a filter, a listing marked not for sale, listings that cover several models under one price, and models that were out of stock when the table was built. Litres a day per dollar is also not value for every home: a wardrobe or a small bedroom may not need a 30-litre machine, and a mini unit rated in hundreds of millilitres a day costs far more per litre a day than a full-size machine.

What we did not check
- How much water any of them really extracts in a Singapore home. The litres-a-day figure is the seller's rating, under test conditions the listings do not state, and real extraction varies with temperature and humidity.
- Whether the bare litre figures on the Mistral rows are daily ratings. We read them that way by convention; the listings do not say so.
- Noise, power draw, or how well the laundry-drying and air-purifying modes work.
- Build quality, or how long any of these last.
- Delivery cost and time, which vary by seller and postcode.
